Gusto ko lang sabihin na nag enjoy kami ni daryl sa food tasting sa Josiah's. At first I thought I can just get as many as I could.haha! di pala ganun. pero busog! Ang daming kinain ni Daryl buti napigilan ko siya. Just kidding. In fact that was me! hehe. :)
We actually want to try out all the accredited food caterers of La Huerta. Updates? We had our food tasting by Hizon's catering last Saturday. The venue was at the rooftop of their main office in Sanville QC near Fernwood. O well what can we say about the food? First, the presentation looked neat. Nakasmile yung mga nagse-serve na waiters. We liked the cheesy lasagna and pork spareribs in particular but we really didn't find anything extraordinary dun sa iba. Personally I was looking for something that will excite my taste buds.hehe. Ganun din si daryl. Anyway they were also offering freebies and waiving of other fees if we booked that day. sadly we don't have enough cash and what we really wanted is to check out the other caterers before we finally decide.
So..it was a no for us but it was a good experience. We had free lunch again. hehe. We now know what to do if we're hungry and don't have money.haha.
The real highlight of that day was when we finally met with our wedding attire designer. He was very accomodating and even suggested better options for Yayil sa gown na gusto niya. I would just let Yayil share on this. Nasa listening mode lang ako nun. hehe. At some point I couldn't understand what they were discussing with regard to the design, material, whatever.hehe. Natutuwa lang ako kase we didn't have a hard time explaining what we wanted exactly. Do you know what other thing we are also thankful for? Yayil and I got a very reasonable deal for his services kaya it's really a blessing. As of now we will just complete the initial amount to lock the date.
Yan muna sa ngayon. :)
Also excited!

sorry, MIA. been mostly out of town ng february and march for work events.
anyway, im back! were you guys able to read tim's post? his first ever, im so proud!
just a couple of updates regarding the wedding preparations... i am thinking of having a supplier list page so i can track our online checklist, thinking aloud lang. that's not really an update.
back to the topic - updates, we went to our first food tasting last weekend during the expo at smx. it was hosted by josiah's. ganun pala yung experience. we used to wonder how some of the attendees ng fairs and expos ay nakakakain sa mga 'sample' ng caterers.. akala ko pa dati pwede walk-in, tipong mag-inquire lang tapos kainan na. kailangan pala magpre-register so ngayon naman andaming invitations from several caterers sa mga food tasting event nila. ansaya!
we also visited our venue, la huerta estate. as always, warm welcome pa rin ang salubong sa amin ni sir anton. his kids were there too and his mother. nakakatuwa kapag ganun.. yung tipong we are dealing with a family rather than a 'company', seems more personal and intimate, not formal and corporate. just another thing that made me realize that we made the right choice in our venue. oh and they have a leaflet/brochure na, check it out:
