almost half-way there

so i know, we've been quite neglecting our blog.  we did decide on using this blog to update about our married life. basically, this is our very first entry now that we are husband and wife.

okay, what were we up to these past almost 6 months?

our wedding went by like a blur.  i love every minute of it.  if i could only make time stand still, i would.  we wanted to share the love that we have for each other with all our guests and i guess, we succeeded with that.  our wedding was so intimate and special, majority of them were crying during our vows and our honoring of our parents.  i haven't seen my papa cry before so that was it for me,  my nose was so red from all the crying.

i am thinking of putting our vows here in the blog just so we could immortalize our declaration of love for each other.  maybe on my next entry :)

fast forward to our (2-part) honeymoon, we spent some days in boracay.  that was papa's wedding gift to us.  and then a couple of days after boracay, we went to seoul, south korea to spend our first Christmas.

 

 

we had so much fun during our honeymoon.  after our honeymoon, it was time for the real world.  we went back to work and squeezed there in between - finding a place of our own.  we were at my parents' home for a week or so after our trip abroad while checking out places to rent, places near our respective offices.  we found the perfect place we can call home, a one-bedroom condo unit in makati.

and so the next thing to do was to make our place livable by furnishing it with at least the basics.  we were sleeping on a mattress on the floor while waiting for our furniture.  i guess that was a right of passage for newly weds.  apparently, every newly wed couple gets to sleep on the floor and use make-shift carton boxes as dining table.

now, we are near our 6th month wedding anniversary and i can say that we've adjusted quite well with living together.  we now developed a routine around the home, we are in sync :)  our place is presentable as it is, we've had guests already.  it has been such a thrill and a joy starting our life together.

next on our agenda is to have a little one.  our Lord is in control and we have been so blessed.  i know in my heart that everything will be perfect in His time.
