The Beybeys: DIY update!

so.. when was the last time i posted something in our blog? end of March? and now its the 30th of April. sad that i am almost averaging at one post per month.. i'd like it to be frequent though.. as the wedding draws near, this blog would generally help a lot with making sure all the nitty-gritty of the event is covered.

anyway, on to the main point of this entry - DIY update.

i said that i will be making a post about our save-the-date but i think i will just include the STD in this post. it is long overdue anyways. here are our STDs. we made a hundred of these bad boys and we managed to give these out to almost all of our guests.

so there. on a side note, tim got injured while we were making our STDs. he was "in-charge" of cutting the magnets and he accidentally cut a wee-part of his thumb with the cutter. good thing my sister who is a nurse was there to take care of him because after i saw the blood, i lost color in my face and i felt numb and odd. cold sweat. i got nauseous and dizzy, i had to sit back and regain some sort of control with my feelings. i realized right then and there that i am a bit scared of blood - lots of blood. especially if its coming from someone i deeply care for.

moving on with the rest of our DIY update. tim and i had already been to divisoria to buy materials and whatnot. we have also visited quiapo for some beading supplies.

our kissing bells are almost done. we will be providing bells for guests to use instead of the irritating clinking of glasses to signal us to kiss. timmy was very particular about the bells because he is expecting that they will be used a lot. hahahaha!

i have also started making the men's boutonnieres and they look so good! i'm so ecstatic! i will also start making our wedding cord. timmy said that he will help me with our wedding matches, maybe tomorrow since its a holiday. i know our DIY list is quite ambitious but given the lead time, i believe we (or more appropriately - i) will be able to make them. i'll make time. i want our wedding to be personalized and i don't mind laboring to achieve that.

i forgot to include our thank you notes :) these are all hand-cut and type-written then punched out with a cute bunny silhouette to keep with our wedding theme.
